Ensure your parcel arrives in perfect condition
We can't stress how important this task is; please make sure that your parcels are properly protected and packaged, and ensure that they are accurately labelled using only the printed labels from Parcel2Courier.
Please make sure all shiping labels are fully covered with clear tape to avoid any ink run from the labels in wet conditions.

Labelling your Parcels ready for Shipping
- Make sure the shipping labels are printed on a laser printer to avoid running of ink if the label becomes wet during transit.
- Make sure the shipping labels are not creased in any way - the barcode and the shipping address must be clearly visible.
- Clearly label all packages on the top of each item. (This allows for faster identification and minimal handling)
- Tape each label securely to the parcel using CLEAR tape only. Making sure any tape used doesn't hide any of the label information
- Make sure if you are sending multiple parcels, each parcel has a separate ‘individually’ barcoded label
- For security write the sender and recipient addresses, including phone and postal codes directly on the parcel. Also we recommend writing the Con Note (tracking) number just in case of damage to the label.
- Include your address and the destination address inside the shipment.
- Use a tie-on label for items such as skis, tyres, etc.
Here are some useful points for you to consider when packaging your goods – it is essential that you are not shipping any Dangerous Goods which appear on the Prohibited or Restricted List.
Small Items
Make sure your items are not packaged too small otherwise during transit they could result in delay or loss. Pad around delicate items such as samples.
Multiple Items
Where there are several items in a single outer container they should be wrapped separately or interleaved to afford each item protection from the others.
Any remaining space between the items and the outer container should be filled with sufficient packing material to prevent the items being damaged by movement in transit.
Heavy Items
If your goods are heavy they may need additional support or cushioning to hold them securely within their outer container. The weight of the contents must not overload the box or carton otherwise it may burst open.
Irregular Shapes
Awkwardly shaped items with projections or sharp corners need extra protection to prevent accidental damage and to avoid damaging other goods.
Please note: Heavy or irregularly shaped items should ideally be secured to a pallet for added stability and protection and to enable ease of handling.
Pallets
Goods on pallets should be evenly stacked and items secured to the pallet by shrink wrapping, strapping or banding.
Highly Finished Objects
Items with highly finished or polished surfaces should be well padded prior to final outer packaging to avoid abrasion caused by movement within the packaging or by contact with box, staples etc.
This covers items of luggage such as briefcases, which may also be affected by soiling or marking from adhesive labels.
Computer/Electronic Items
Items should be supported by polystyrene moulds and packed into suitable cartons. Please note limitations of services these items can be shipped on, and whether these items include lithium batteries (please see Dangerous Goods page for Prohibited and Restricted items)
Metal Objects
All metal objects must be very well wrapped to protect everyone involved in the transit of the parcel from injury, and this will also protect machinery and our other customers’ goods from damage. Never send bare, sharp metal without packaging.
Engines/Machinery
These items must be drained of any oils or fluids before packaging. Failure to do so could result in additional charges from spoilage.
Fragile Items
Any fragile items must be well wrapped and placed away from the edges of the box, or in separate boxes if possible.
Any gaps between the item and its outer container should be filled with suitable packing to ensure that the item is well cushioned and protected during transit.
If available please use fragile stickers so that the couriers can identify these items and take extra care of them for you.
Sealing
Securely seal all packages using good quality item tape to prevent them from bursting open, particularly if the contents are heavy.
Damaged, non-deliverable items
If the recipient refuses a consignment, it leaks or it is damaged, it will be returned to the sender (if possible). Please note there will be additional fees to the same value as the original shipping costs for all returned items, along with a $10 admin fee for processing.
In addition - If the sender refuses to accept the returned consignment, or it cannot be returned because of leakage or damage due to faulty packaging, the shipper is responsible for all costs and fees of any type connected with the legal disposal of the consignment, and all costs and fees connected with clean-up of any spill or leakage.
